Buying a Honda Fit from a car bond in Uganda
Buying a car from a car bond makes life a lot easier to acquire yourself a vehicle. There is basically no need to go to japan or order for the vehicle from japan or any other part of the world.
In short one just walks to the car bond and arrange for a purchase and within a short time, the car is paid for and handled over to you as the owner.
However, you can also find that some cars have only cleared the cost, insurance and freight (CIF) fees only. So it would mean that if you want a Honda Fit then you will have to clear the rest of the taxes. You can find the cost of a Honda Fit to around UGX 11,000,000 or more in the bond here in Uganda.
However, the cost of the CIF can change due to year of manufacture, condition of the car, mileage and the dealer. In general, Honda Fit can cost you around UGX 17,000,000 or even more.

Importing a foreign used Honda Fit from Japan
Now this is different from buying from car from the car bond here in Kampala. Some people prefer to import their own cars directly from Japan or from any other part of the world.
This means all the costs are going to be met by the owner of the car right from say Japan to Mombasa up to Uganda. Here one needs to determine the cost of the car while still in Japan from which the Cost, Insurance and Freight (CIF) are calculated.
After that, arrangements are made to ship the car to Kampala, Uganda. After arriving in Kampala, then the required taxes have to be cleared.
The taxes charged by the Uganda Revenue Authority include Import Duty, Value added (VAT), Withholding Tax, Environmental Levy, Infrastructure Levy, and Registration Fees. You can find the cost of the Honda Fit starting from as low as $720 in japan.

General Honda Fit review for Uganda
The Honda Fit answers multiple automotive questions. Need cheap, dependable transportation? It has a base price below $ 1,000 in japan and carries Honda’s strong reputation for reliability.
Need a high-mpg commuter? The Fit is EPA-rated at up to 41 mpg on the highway. Need lots of space? For a vehicle of its size, the Fit offers an unbelievable amount of interior room; it provides the passenger volume and cargo space of a mid-size car.
Looking into the interior, the genius of the Fit starts with Honda’s innovative chassis layout that places the fuel tank under the front seats, rather than the more conventional location farther rearward. This yields an extremely low and flat floor under the rear seats and in the cargo area, allowing for interior space rivaling that of some larger crossovers, despite the Fit’s diminutive footprint.
The rear seat will accommodate even the tallest passengers with ease, and the entire cabin feels light and airy thanks to large windows all around. This is also a boon for visibility.
