As per the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the world's soybean production in the 2019/2020 crop year amounted to approximately 337.7 million metric tons. Market Data Forecast reported that in 2020, the worldwide soybean market was worth USD 145.4 billion and is expected to reach USD 200 billion by 2025, growing at a CAGR of 5.6%.
Moving to East Africa, soybean consumption has been increasing consistently.
