Pastry is differentiated from bread by having a higher fat content, which contributes to a flaky or crumbly texture. A good pastry is light and airy and fatty, but firm enough to support the weight of the filling. When making a shortcrust pastry, care must be taken to blend the fat and flour thoroughly before adding any liquid. This ensures that the flour granules are adequately coated with fat and less likely to develop gluten. On the other hand, overmixing results in long gluten strands that toughen the pastry. A pie is a baked dish which is usually made of a pastry dough casing that completely contains a filling of various sweet or savoury ingredients.
Sweet pies may be filled with fruit (as in an apple pie), nuts (pecan pie), brown sugar (sugar pie) or sweetened vegetables (rhubarb pie).

Saffron's taste and iodoform- or hay-like fragrance result from the chemicals picrocrocin and safranal.
It also contains a carotenoid pigment, crocin, which imparts a rich golden-yellow hue to dishes and textiles.
Its recorded history is attested in a 7th-century BC Assyrian botanical treatise compiled under Ashurbanipal, and it has been traded and used for over four millennia.
Iran now accounts for approximately 90% of the world production of saffron.
There are only three criteria you must look for every time you buy saffron:
Saffron threads (Stigmas) are all red (no other color).
Saffron threads must be dry and brittle to the touch.
Saffron aroma is strong and fresh, never musty.

Premium All Red Saffron is the most expensive cut of the saffron flower’s red stigmas, where they are equally cut and separated after drying.
Saffron threads that are cut this way give maximum natural dye, aroma, and flavor in baking and cooking.
A smoothie is a thick and creamy beverage made from pureed raw fruit, vegetables, and sometimes dairy products (e.g. milk, yogurt, ice-cream or cottage cheese), typically using a blender. The garden strawberry (or simply strawberry) is a widely grown hybrid species of the genus Fragaria, collectively known as the strawberries, which are cultivated worldwide for their fruit.

It is consumed in large quantities, either fresh or in such prepared foods as jam, juice, pies, ice cream, milkshakes, and chocolates. Artificial strawberry flavorings and aromas are also widely used in products such as candy, soap, lip gloss, perfume, and many others.
In cooking, a syrup or sirup (from Arabic: Sharāb, beverage, wine and Latin: sirupus) is a condiment that is a thick, viscous liquid consisting primarily of a solution of sugar in water, containing a large amount of dissolved sugars but showing little tendency to deposit crystals.
Its consistency is similar to that of molasses. The viscosity arises from the multiple hydrogen bonds between the dissolved sugar, which has many hydroxyl (OH) groups.
Syrups can be made by dissolving sugar in water or by reducing naturally sweet juices such as cane juice, sorghum juice, maple sap or agave nectar.
Corn syrup is made from corn starch using an enzymatic process that converts it to sugars.
A wafer is a crisp, often sweet, very thin, flat, light and dry biscuit, often used to decorate ice cream, and also used as a garnish on some sweet dishes. Wafers can also be made into cookies with cream flavoring sandwiched between them. They frequently have a waffle surface pattern but may also be patterned with insignia of the food's manufacturer or may be patternless.
