Buying land near High Voltage Power lines in Uganda, Watch Out!

The Uganda Electricity Transmition Company Limited, UETCL, is warning the public against buying land in the preserved area for electricity lines.

According to UTCL publicist Kenneth Otim, some unscrupulous people have made it business to illegally sell land under the preserved areas for electricity lines.

Otim says that whoever buys such land will have bought hot airand will be evicted without compensation or even face prosecution.
