ECOBANK Transnational Incorporated, the parent company of the Ecobank Group, has inaugurated a multi-million dollar corporate headquarters in the Togolese capital Lome.
The $30m-Ecobank Pan African Centre was launched by president Faure Gnassingba, who said it was a manifestation of production and trade globalisation.
The seven-storey complex has a total floor space of 5,000 square metres. It has a 480-seat conference auditorium fitted with the latest technology.
The centre also has a training facility that is focused on the development of senior and middle management personnel, with a faculty and curricular based on international best standards.
Dele Alabi, the Ecobank-Uganda managing director and David Twahirwa, the chairman, said bank was steadily growing across the country. Ecobank has branches in 35 countries, including 32 in Africa, with 760 branches and 10,000 African staff. It is owned by over180,000 institutional and individual shareholders.
