TAX INCENTIVES FOR UGANDA ICT COMPANIES

Question: Do Ugandan ICT companies have tax incentives on the equipment imported to run there business?? how does one qualify for such?

Answer:
Computers and their accessories imported to Uganda are exempted from Import Tax. However, not all equipment used by Uganda ICT companies is totally exempted, some equipment are exempted as per the tariff book while others do attract a tax at a lower rate.
