THE 3rd annual banking, finance and insurance expo is scheduled to run from April 14 to16 at the Lugogo Main Exhibition Hall in Kampala.
The expo is aimed at exploring the use of technology in enhancing financial competitiveness.
David Sempala, one of the organisers, said the event, sponsored by the Vision Group, is aimed at equipping Ugandans with an understanding of monetary products, rewards and risks to enable them make informed choices on financial matters.
“The expo will empower financial players to identify market requirements, launch new products, develop relationships and build market share,” Sempala said.
Commercial banks, insurance companies, investment advisers and micro-finance institutions are among the 64 participants expected to take part.
Activities will include a financial awareness forum, which will discuss issues related to banks, insurance, e-banking and investments.
Sempala said bank clients would be sensitised on their protection and armed with redress mechanisms.
Vision Group has teamed up with Royal Way Media, Group 4 Security and UAP Insurance Company to facilitate the event.
