Uganda Revenue Authority & Uganda Manufactures Association Agree Towards Smoother Tax Collection

The Uganda Revenue Authority has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Uganda Manufacturers Association to work together for responsible tax collection.

This follows tension between the manufactures and the tax body over what manufacturers have been terming as inappropriate approaches to tax collection.

The manufactures complained that URA applies force when collecting tax while URA complains of non compliance by the manufactures in paying their taxes.

The tax collection Agreement will ensure more friendly approach to tax collection and monthly training support for the manufactures in the importance of taxation and how they can pay their taxes easily as required.
