Uganda Tax on Imported Tractors

Question: Are imported used tractors exempted from taxes?

Answer: Used vehicles normally have to be charged with Import Duty plus Environmental Levy.

In case of new pedestrian controlled tractors, road tractors for semi-trailers and track-laying tractors attract zero import duty.

However, other types of tractors may attract import duty of 10% or more.

Apart from this, Preet group has set up state of the art machine shop having more than 100 Modern machines, SPMs and latest CNC machining centre for producing excellent quality components. In addition to above Preet group has its own designed in-house engine manufacturing facility which produces 30 to 90 HP engines that are suitable for tractors and combine harvesters. With a 50% market share in India for Multi Crop Combine Harvesters, company also getting the overwhelming response for the tractors and providing complete agriculture solution to our business partners/distributors across the globe. We had made our presence in Africa, Asia, Australia continent and have regular supplies to Australia, Nepal (No. 3 in terms of sales), Myanmar (No. 2 in terms of Sales), Algeria, Tunisia, Sudan, Egypt, Romania, Sri Lanka etc.

Our operation is spreading wings and we are looking for new partners to expand our operation.
